Our Founder
Tribute to our Founder, the late Mr. Lowe George Mabuza. A Legacy Continued.
Life
Mr. Lowe George Mabuza was born on the 29th of September 1949 in Steelport, Limpopo, where he also grew up..
His Career & Legacy
Mr. Mabuza was a self-taught professional who dabbled in a few industries before focusing his skills into construction.
From the year 1963 to 1964, he worked at Sabie and then went on to work as a clerk at Landos Mine in Witbank from 1964 to 1969.
He made a significant career change by venturing into business in 1970, where he began selling soft goods in Witbank. He moved onto transportation services where he entered the taxi and bus industries during the years of 1974 and 1976, respectively. His bussing company was called Mabuza Bus Services.
After leaving the transportation industry, Mr. Mabuza founded his legacy and his greatest professional accomplishment, Loge Construction, in 1999. A company he founded on his own and later started running with his sons, Fred and Linda Mabuza, until his untimely passing on the 12th of January 2021. His sons who have been working side by side with him for most of their adult lives have now jointly taken over the company in the wake of his death and will continue to grow the Mabuza legacy.
Our Directors
Linda Mabuza
Linda is the Chief Operations Officer of Loge Construction. He is in charge of overseeing daily activities across all functions within the company. His responsibilities include:
- - Overseeing client relations such as sourcing new clients and retaining the existing
clientele.
- - Implementing new technological solutions for the betterment of the company.
- - Formulating and implementing business strategy.
- - Ensuring compliance with local and international laws.
- - Managing contracts and relations with clients, vendors, partners and other
stakeholders.
Linda furthermore evaluates risk and lead quality assurance efforts, oversees the finances of the company and creates budgets to help optimize the costs and benefits across all functions. Linda also reports on operational performance and suggests necessary improvements to keep Loge Construction running like a well-oiled machine.
Fred Mabuza
Fred is Loge Construction’s Fleet Manager. The company has grown over the last few years and as a result of the growth, they have had to acquire more vehicles to keep up with the high demands that come with the jobs. As the fleet manager, Fred decides whether it’s necessary to lease or buy the vehicles and equipment they use. Over and above it is his responsibility to:
- - Purchase and maintain the vehicles and equipment.
- - Register and license the vehicles as well as finding ways to cut costs and maximise
outputs for every project.
- - Recruitment of quality drivers and machine operators.
- - Develops efficient driver and operator schedules for effective outputs.
- - Ensures that all drivers and machine operators adhere to their schedules for
different projects.
Fred develops strategies for greater fuel efficiency for both the vehicles and the equipment as well as keeping track of all equipment and vehicles through a centralised system at any given time for any and all projects.
